One of the more intriguing multiplayer titles in the video game market is undoubtedly No Brakes Game’s Human: Fall Flat, which launched back in 2016. The indie title has been growing a steady fanbase over the past seven years, and after being readily available on the market with re-releases for the current generation of home consoles, the title has reached a major milestone. Curve Games, the title’s publishers, has announced that Human: Fall Flat has officially sold more than 40 million copies globally, and also makes it one of the best-selling video games of all time.

CEO and Founder of No Brakes Games Tomas Sakalauskas stated that the fans were the main reason as to why the game has continued with this long chain of success. “What makes Human: Fall Flat so great is our community. We really appreciate all the support of the fans and are astounded that we have over 40 million people experiencing our game around the world.” he said. Human: Fall Flat is a game where the player takes control of a human who has an insane amount wobbly type movements and must somehow traverse through floating lands that contain puzzles, and yes, jumping.
As we mentioned earlier, this new surge of statistics has pushed the title to a new plateau on a very specific list; game sales. The game had already made waves with the amount of sales back in 2021, but the now 40 million units sold puts it in the same category as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, who has a similar sales number. Should these sales continue to increase over time, then it would eventually take over the next slot, which is currently held by the unstoppable Nintendo Switch juggernaut of 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
For those keeping score at home, the number one spot on the all time selling list is Minecraft, which is sitting in the 200,000,000 range of units sold, a number that will more than likely never be reached again, at least not in this lifetime. Still, the fact that Human: Fall Flat is even in the same discussion as these all-time greats is no coincidence. It’s all around fun multiplayer title that has taken off, and these numbers how just how far it has come.
