Well I suppose it was inevitable. Whenever a demo or a beta for a highly anticipated game are released players will get curious about the future of the project and start digging around through the files, finding things that may or may not be planned for future DLC and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is no exception. After releasing their open beta just last night, it seems that players have already found the future Season Pass characters for the game from a dataleak, as shown on Reddit. Press on at your own discretion, should you not want to be spoiled for potential future surprises.
Alleged future characters are Blue Mary, Rick Strowd, Alfred, Ryo Sakazaki, Duck King, and Wolfgang Krauser with Nightmare Geese and Fallen Rock presumably as the boss characters of the base game. There are some great returning fan favorite Fatal Fury characters here with Duck King, Krauser, and Blue Mary. Rick Strowd and Alfred are interesting picks from the series’ history and Ryo Sakazaki is of course the iconic main character from one of SNK’s other long running fighting game franchises Art of Fighting. Nightmare Geese being a boss is probably very expected, but the real question there is whether or not this means Geese Howard will be playable in the game or is exclusively a boss character.
Interestingly, Cristiano Ronaldo does not show up on this list. Many people were expecting the soccer (football if you’re not American) superstar to be an actual playable character but it looks like he might just be a cameo in some other menu or mode. However, there are a few slots in the list mentioned as “PL016-017 – Skipped” and “PL030-032 – Skipped”, so there are 5 unknown characters. Potentially one of them could be a playable Cristiano Ronaldo, but I ‘d keep your expectations realistic.
Overall, this should probably be a lesson to developers to not put too much in your early access betas and demos, someone WILL leak it
Dear game developers, please do not leave crucial unannounced information on your game file if you…DO NOT WANT PEOPLE TO FIND THEM! pic.twitter.com/oabXdlNGkz
