Indie game studio based in Barcelona, 3D2 Entertainment, has announced on their Twitter yesterday that they have released the first teaser trailer for their first-person horror adventure game, The Crow’s Eye. This will be a PC exclusive. The game had been inspired by horror stories and modern storytelling games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Silent Hill, and Bioshock.
In a recent blog post on 3D2 Entertainment’s website, they explain a little more detail about The Crow’s Eye, saying that they wanted this to be intended to appear “adult.” Instead of being like any other horror game, the game will require you to solve puzzles, investigate, be stealthy and many more mechanics to be revealed later on.
With the release of trailer, you don’t get much from it other than a recording of a man that is scared of something that had happen. Though a letter that was released with the trailer gave a little bit more light of what is happening. The letter is dated April 2th 1947, and there are strange events happening at the University of Crowswood.
Here’s what the letter exactly said.
People seem to be vanishing without a trace, and the letter mentions that they don’t know what they are trying to protect their fort from. The one’s that are left at the university have become paranoid because of the mysterious sounds that lurk in the shadows. You play as a young man that we know nothing about, but you will need to build up your courage in order to solve the mystery of what is happening, before it’s too late. “The university is a dark, grim place, with walls worn out by the passing of the years, where every noise or shadow may startle us, and where even the most unexpected items may end up being of help.”
You can view a teaser trailer for it below.
