Horizon Zero Dawn Hype Continues With Giant E3 Poster In LA

Developers at Guerrilla Games (famous for its big name shooter game, Killzone) is letting their flag fly and literally unfurling their banner with their secretive and exciting new game, Horizon Zero Dawn. The large scale poster can be seen displayed in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, where E3 is annually held in the giant convention center–long time trustworthy gaming journalism site, Destructoid, speculating for the last time.

For those of you in the dark, Horizon Zero Dawn is a PS4 exclusive action-adventure RPG due in 2016. In it, we meet fiery huntress Aloy (who respectively resembles Rose Leslie of Game of Thrones fame). Quick with her bow and a few witty quips, Aloy uses stealth to carefully navigate her way through a vividly beautiful world–one that is green, and lush with danger. Set 1,000 years in the future, Earth has seen a shift in events.

Man now lives in hunter-gatherer tribes scattered across an expansive world, with deserts, forests, and mountains. We are not alone, however, as massive and mysterious machine roam among us, sentient and sometimes not friendly.

Developers are seemingly playing it pretty close to the vest, as they have only released a limited amount of information, and saved their large reveals and press releases for the big gaming events.

Earlier in the year, GG debuted a ton of new gameplay at a gaming convention in Paris gave us a peek at what it looks like to fight some of these bionic beasts.

Obviously action-adventure oriented with content highly steeped in combat and RPG elements, developers also stressed that the game was going to be heavily woven with open world exploring, saying:

You’ll want to explore every nook and cranny in this open world because you’ll never know what you’ll find.

With the giant poster display revealed so close to E3’s location and with only two weeks to go, it looks like fans can look forward to more reveals on the game when E3 starts in June!
