It looks like that initial rating in Singapore was more than confirmation. Guerilla Games has officially announced the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, and just like its predecessor, it will come with the base game and all of the previously released DLC/Expansions. It will be available very soon, next month in fact on October 6, 2023, for the PlayStation 5. On top of that, the studio also announced that the title will be coming to PC sometime in early 2024 and will be on the Steam and Epic Games Store.
As we already mentioned, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will come with the Burning Shores expansion that released earlier this year, as well as other in-game content. This includes a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, in-game poses, face paint, bows, slings, and other costumes and cosmetics. The trailer that accompanies this announcement shows snippets of scenes and gameplay from the title and ends with the aforementioned release dates/time frames.
As for the PC version, this is the latest of many former PlayStation-exclusive titles to make its way to the PC platform. Over the past few years, Sony, and other studios have been making an effort to bring some of their AAA titles to PC in order to make them much more accessible. This includes some heavy hitters such as God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Returnal, The Last of Us Part 1, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
No specific information was given in regards to what bells and whistles the PC version will offer, but it’ll more than likely have 4k resolution, special custom options, graphical updates, and other impressive technical aspects. The Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will launch next month for the PlayStation 5 on October 6, 2023. It will also launch for PC sometime in early 2024.
