Honkai: Star Rail 4.3 “The Lethe Below the Living” Coming June 1st

3 years is a long time, especially when it comes to games, as in this day and age, most games struggle to make it a year. As the writing of this article, Honkai: Star Rail is just coming off its third anniversary, so happy belated birthday, Star Rail. But just like the express, we must continue to trailblaze into a new update. This time, it’s the 4.3 trailer, as it marks the halfway point of our journey on Planarcadia, and with it comes a new character: a new form of one of our beloved Stellaron Hunters, Blade, now named Mortenax Blade, along with our first encounter with the chess master himself, Asat Pramad, the lord ravager, and the reckoning of past and present, all coming June 1 to PC, Consoles, and Mobile.
So what exactly is coming in this new update, as mentioned before, a new character will be joining the Star Rail cast in the form of Mortenax Blade, who will be running in the first half of the update alongside his light cone “Reforged in Hellfire.” alongside him we will see the first rerun of Yao Guang and her light cone ” When She Decided to See.” They will be able to be warped from June 1 to the 24th, and in the second half of the update, we will be getting 2 return characters in the form of  beloved character Cyrene and her light cone, “This Love, Forever,” and fan favorite character Phainon and his light cone,” Thus Burns the Dawn.”

Alongside the new characters, we will be getting a continuation of the story of Planarcadia, where the player will be journeying to Torn Scroll, and there find out the truth of what’s really going on, but it’s there where we will finally confront the Lord Ravager Asat Pramad and the plans he has in store for us, after all, he is the chess master. The story will be heavily focused on Blade and his new form, alongside the ongoing story of our beloved navigator Himeko, as it looks like we will finally find out what truly happened to her in the past and whether the Himeko we are traveling with is the true one. This has many worried for Himeko, as many fear history will repeat itself, and we will once more lose a Himeko. Many, myself included, are calling for her to stay on the train, but in order to trailblaze to a new tomorrow, we must confront our past.

It’s exciting how much Star Rail continues to grow, and now, after 3 years, it’s an achievement all its own. And with the announcement of Himeko Nova and two more Fate characters in the form of Rin Tohsaka and Gilgamesh, the future for Honkai: Star Rail is looking bright. Update 4.3 starts June 1 and will run until July 14, so in the words of our chrysos heirs, “See You Tomorrow.”
