Hollow Knight: Lifeblood Update Is Now Available To Test Out

Hollow Knight will be receiving new update soon, and those interested can try it out now through the public beta. This update, called Lifebood, will feature various bug fixes, introduce a new boss, and offers some tweaks to the map system.

There will still be bug fixes coming out while this open beta is happening, meaning players shouldn’t expect everything to be fixed just yet. Some bugs they’re trying to iron out now include making sure HP appears correctly when loading in the game, correcting the notch when overcharming rapidly, and some unintended loops. These fixes will be rolling out on PC, Mac, And Linux within the next week or so, meaning reporting any other bugs now will likely bring a quick call to attention.

As far as new additions go, this update is not without various enhancements. Various abilities have been balanced, so players are encouraged to go in and see if any of their usual mechanics have changed. Map markers are also added, which will certainly add a degree of order to their hectic world. More Extras will be in the Extras menu, and optimizations have been enhanced to make performance smoother. Players can also find exactly which boss has been seriously upgraded, and encounter a brand new boss that has a soundtrack by Chris Larkin. A few players in the comments of this update announcement have mentioned that the new boss is hard to find, so this may be a great opportunity to start a new playthrough, and really feel out the game as a whole during the search for what’s new.

All those who own Hollow Knight can access Lifeblood by joining in through the ‘Properties’ section, and clicking ‘Betas’.
