IO Interactive’s latest video game, Hitman 2, launches very soon, and they want to ensure that you’ll have the best experience playing as Agent 47. They believe in it so much that they even released brand new trailer titled “Hitman Perfected” which showcases all of the new features and additions in just one brief minute, a friendly reminder that this game is absolutely filled to the brim with content.
Despite the short trailer, IO did a fantastic job getting the message across. It’s starts out with the new multiplayer modes, player versus player Ghost, and co-op player Sniper Assassin. The Ghost mode is reminiscent of the older Assassins Creed multiplayer, with the exception being that you’re fighting against one person online as opposed to multiple. Sniper Assassin Mode is a competition of who can nail the best “sniper skill shots” and top the leader boards.
As for the main portion of the game, playing as Agent 47 will give you access to every hitman’s beloved tool, the black briefcase. Housed inside the briefcase is a plethora of toys to give you the advantage of getting to your target and taking them out. In addition, the A.I. will have smarter combat reactions if you choose to engage them, a dedicated mini map for your immediate area in the level, security camera grids so you can finally avoid them without too much trouble, and mirrors that actually work like real life mirrors, so be careful when approaching people in the restroom. On top of that, the briefcase can be used as a weapon itself, hopefully it isn’t too heavy when you swing it.
The content goes beyond the initial launch of the game as well, as we already know that the first Elusive Target will be Mark Faba, played by acclaimed actor Sean Bean, and all of the community created levels that will inevitably fill up the contracts list. The company certainly isn’t holding back anymore, and ever since they split with Square Enix and partnered with Warner Bros. everything appears to be working in their favor, and it won’t be long until we see the results of their passion project.
Hitman 2 launches on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out the Hitman Perfected trailer here:
