We already knew that Hitman 3 would be arriving in January of next year, but we didn’t have an exact date for the title, until now. IO Interactive has officially announced that Hitman 3 will launch on January 20, 2021, for both the current and next generation of consoles as well as PC. To sweeten the deal, the company also revealed a nice bonus for those who plan to buy the game digitally through either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The studio will offer the ability to upgrade a digital copy of the game to the next generation, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and it will cost absolutely nothing.
We heard you like free next gen upgrades, Deluxe Editions and awesome pre-order bonuses.

IO Interactive stated that it doesn’t matter if the digital copy is pre-ordered or not. All you need to do is make the purchase for Hitman 3, either through the PSN or Xbox Store and you’re guaranteed the option to upgrade to your respective system. The company breaks it down on their blog as such; you can purchase the game for the PlayStation 4 on the PSN, then have the ability to download the PlayStation 5 version for no extra cost. As for the Xbox, the game will utilize the Smart Delivery process, giving you both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions when you make the purchase.
On top of all this, IO Interactive also announced that the game will have a Deluxe Edition available to pre-order, as well as the standard edition which comes with the base game as well as a pre-order bonus called the Trinity Pack. This pack gives Agent 47 three distinct cosmetic outfits, each with their own briefcase and specific weapon, as well as bearing the Hitman logo in gold no less. The Deluxe Edition includes the game, the Trinity Pack bonus, Deluxe Escalation missions, a digital soundtrack, more in-game cosmetics and items, special director commentary for each mission, and a World of Assassination Digital Book.
Hitman 3 will officially launch on January 20, 2021, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and for PC through the Epic Games Store for one year.
