Hitman 2’s First Elusive Target Revealed Starring Actor Sean Bean

Today, IO Interactive has announced the first elusive target that players will get to track down in Hitman 2. His name is Mark Faba, a former MI5 agent who became a freelance assassin known as “The Undying”. He is known to fake his own death, and he will be played by actor Sean Bean, who is known for his characters always ending up dead. In a press release, the actor shared his thoughts on being a part of Hitman 2:

I’m thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Hitman 2 video game. It’s always exciting to take on a new role, and I’m looking forward to everyone seeing my character in action when the mission launches.

For those unaware of how elusive targets work, they are unique missions that are available only for a limited time. You get one chance to take out the target, and if you fail, you won’t get another opportunity. Another elusive target will become available once the time is up. Think of elusive targets as weekly challenges or goals in multiplayer games, things that will incentivize players to complete goals such as a new weapon or something. Hitman rewarded players with new suits available to wear if you choose to complete these tasks.

Hakan Abrak, the studio head of IO Interactive said:

We’re very excited to partner with the talented Sean Bean on the first Elusive Target mission in Hitman 2. Elusive Targets have become a distinguishing trait in Hitman games as part of the constant stream of free live content for all players to enjoy.

Earlier this week, IO Interactive also revealed ‘Ghost Mode’, a competitive game mode that puts two players on the clock to assassinate more targets than the other. The two players start at the same point and are free to attempt to kill their targets. What’s interesting is that while you are on the same map, the other player isn’t with you. The two players exist in their own world so whatever happens in one player’s world won’t carry into the others.

Hitman 2 will be released on November 13 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. “The Undying” will go live on November 20.
