Anticipation for the upcoming IO Interactive title, Hitman 2, is at an all time high. With so many improvements, additions, and new, creative ways to assassinate targets, it is no wonder that people are excited for the next entry into the series reboot, and it was just recently revealed that Hitman 2 will be shipping out with six locations.
Initially, some might be a little worried or skeptical that Hitman 2 will launch with only six locations, especially since other Hitman titles have spanned more than just six. In order to make up for initial, small location count, IO Interactive have taken a different approach to the world.
“We have six confirmed locations that will be immediately playable when Hitman 2 launches on 13 November 2018, and there will be multiple missions available within each location,” an IO Interactive representative said to VG247. For each location, there will be loads of content to explore, such as main missions pertaining to the campaign, escalation contracts, and elusive targets. Rather than having just one or two main story missions with some scattered extra content, each level will instead be invested into more, and it will give players a greater challenge in order to master each individual location.
In addition, the popular player created contracts will be making a return. Players will be able to set their own targets, parameters, and even specify how assassinations can be carried out, so the amount of creative content that can be added to each level is theoretically endless. It is also important to note that the way this is all worded implies that even more locations will be added in the future, so the content will increase dramatically with each added map, but it is unknown if these additions will be paid DLC or not.
Players who pre-order the title will gain access to the co-op Hitman 2 Sniper Assassin bonus content. The bonus content has players teaming up with a friend to participate in strategic, marksman assassinations, and players will be able to play that game at the time of pre-order. Hitman 2 will sneak onto the scene November 13 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
