The announcements and leaks just wont stop this week, although this one was fairly easy to see coming. Warner Bros. and IO Interactive have officially announced Hitman 2, and it will release on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This didn’t come as huge surprise as Warner Bros. was teasing an announcement earlier this week. Not to mention that the Hitman 2 logo was discovered on WBGames.com sometime before the announcement. Warner Bros. removed the logo, not that it matters now, as the game has finally been revealed.

Right after the announcement, a live stream interview with IO Interactive CEO, Hakan Abrak, began with him stating:
“We are very proud to announce HITMAN 2 as the next exciting chapter in our ever expanding world of assassination. Building on the success of our previous game, HITMAN 2 introduces exciting new features, new modes and franchise firsts to make for a larger and richer game. We couldn’t have wished for a better partner than Warner Bros. to bring this game to our passionate community and introduce new players to our universe. Welcome back 47!”
Players will assume the role of the titular Hitman protagonist, Agent 47, as he goes all over the world in search for the Shadow Client in a continuation of the story from the previous game. One of the missions appears to take place in Miami at a racetrack, and this can be seen in the trailer. In addition to the story, there will also be something completely new to the series, online co-op. Called “Sniper Assassin Mode”, players will team up to and have to work out a strategy in order to eliminate elusive targets. You can also play this mode solo if you prefer to work alone.

IO Interactive also announced that Hitman 2 will not release each mission with an episodic structure like the previous game. Instead, all missions will be available right off the bat on release day. Warner Bros. will be present at E3 2018, so expect more information and updates leading up to the event.
Hitman 2 will release on November 13 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
