A beloved Xbox exclusive is one of four is heading to Xbox’s rival platforms. Tango Gameworks’ hit rhythm-action game Hi-Fi Rush, is set to release on the PlayStation 5 this March. The announcement came from Bethesda’s LATAM YouTube channel before it was taken down shortly after.
Hi-Fi Rush shadow dropped on the Xbox Game Pass early last year to wide acclaim across the video game industry. Since then, many fans have clamored for the game to be released on other platforms. Rumors of a possible multiplatform release had gained traction, exploding in the last month thanks to a datamine hunting at a possible Nintendo Switch and PlayStation release.
While the Nintendo Switch has yet to see Hi-Fi Rush, its recent partner showcase revealed two other popular Microsoft titles coming to the platform: Pentiment and Grounded.
Additionally, following the Nintendo Partner Showcase, Microsoft officially announced the four titles coming to both Nintendo and PlayStation. Those titles include Hi-Fi Rush, Sentiment, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves.
“At Xbox, we strive to create games that inspire, entertain, and connect players from around the world,” wrote Microsoft. “As a publisher and platform we are committed to meeting players where they are, by bringing more games, to more people, and on more devices. And at the heart of all we do are our players, and the vibrant communities that they build around the games they love.”
So if not now, Hi-Fi Rush is likely to come to the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future.
Until more information comes out PlayStation fans look forward towards Hi-Fi Rush’s upcoming release on March 18th. Currently, the game is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Additionally, Bethesda announced a physical release for Hi-Fi Rush in collaboration with Limited Run Games.
