Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Release Date Revealed, Open Beta Coming May 29

Hell Let Loose, the multiplayer tactical first-person shooter that was released back in 2021 by developer Expression Games and publisher Team 17, announced a sequel called Hell Let Loose: Vietnam back in August 2025 at Gamescom. Well, on May 14, a trailer dropped announcing the game’s official release date. The digital edition of the game will be available on console and PC on June 18. Pre-orders for the game are also available at the time of writing this article. Also, an open beta will run from May 29 through June 1 and will take place on the Thanh Hóa Bridge map.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam takes place during the Vietnam War, so you will be able to experience giant 50v50 battles on 6 large-scale maps and be able to use historical vehicles, tactical options, and accurate weapons to take on other players. As mentioned before, the game will release digitally on June 18, so you can pre-order on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. You can also pre-order the physical edition of the game for PlayStation and Xbox, and you will receive it on August 4. And just before the game releases, Expressions Games will hold an open beta from May 29 through June 1 on the Thanh Hóa Bridge map.

Hell Let Loose was overall well-received by players when it launched, and now, only 5 years later, the sequel is officially releasing in a month. There is a lot of player anticipation as this is most likely gonna be one of the biggest first-person multiplayer shooters of 2026. This sequel looks to be going bigger: instead of World War 2, the game will take place during the Vietnam War, introducing new weapons, vehicles, and maps. The studio is aiming to be as historically accurate as possible. As mentioned before, the digital version of the game will be released on June 18, and you can pre-order now. Physicals will be available on August 4 for those who would prefer a physical copy. And if you’re on the fence about the game, why not try the beta? It runs from May 29 to June 1, so you can get a feel for it and decide whether you want it. The choice is yours.
