Yesterday, developer and publisher Landfall released a new gameplay trailer for the launch of Haste: Broken Worlds. The game was released on April 1st of this year and is only available on PC through Steam, it has not been announced whether or not the game will be released on consoles. Players can also download the demo version of the game for free before purchasing the full game.
Haste: Broken Worlds is an action, 3D platformer and parkour game where players can run fast and soar through the obstacles to outrun the end of the universe. The gameplay footage shows the main protagonist named Zoe, as well as the variety of worlds that players will be exploring and running through. Not only does the trailer show gameplay, but it also shows off the story that will be told throughout the game as well, featuring new characters players will help in a variety of ways like giving advice, encouragement, or items to assist the player’s journey.
The game is set to have a variety of features. According to the official Steam page, there will be the following:
- “Third-person high-speed running gameplay.
- 10 Shards, each featuring a collection of procedurally generated levels that must be completed without fail to advance to the next Shard.
- 90+ Items that let you customize your build for each attempt to clear a Shard
- A story to explore and a lovable cast of characters to befriend.
- Spectacular biomes and 4 different bosses to discover.
- 4 abilities to master.
- An unlockable endless mode.”
The main core of gameplay players will play is running through the universe as it is ending. The gameplay trailer also showed that if players fumble, the collapsing world will catch up pretty fast. Throughout the run, players will be able to collect Sparks, which players will be able to use in the shop to manifest items.
