Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Reveals Release Date, New Trailer

Portkey Games has released a new trailer for their upcoming multiplayer game Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, as well as new details about the project’s release and gameplay. The game is set to release Digital editions on September 3, 2024, with physical releases set for Novemeber 8 and the Nintendo Switch version becoming available “this Holiday 2024 season.” The game will also be available for free as a day-one release for Playstation Plus subscribers during the month of September. According to the trailer, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set to feature solo, online co-op, and online competitive game modes, as well the ability to play as iconic characters from the Harry Potter franchise such as Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley, or even Harry Potter himself. The trailer also gives fans a couple of looks at what maps will be appearing in the game, with notable locations recreated in the game like the Weasley’s Burrow, the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch, and the Quiddich World Championship. Customizable cosmetics such as brooms, hats, outfits, and more will also be available to create your own custom character.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is currently available for pre-order in both Standard and Deluxe Editions, with the Deluxe Edition’s bonus content being listed on the game’s official website:

The Deluxe Edition of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions includes the Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor House Packs and 2,000 gold to spend in-game. Gold can only be earned through in-game progression and cannot be purchased with real-world currency.

Pre-ordering will also allow players to unlock an exclusive Firebolt Supreme broom skin on Xbox and PC, with PlayStation Plus subscribers receiving the skin for free as a part of the free release. Following the recent of trend of lower-priced multiplayer games like Helldivers 2 and Concord, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will cost $29.99, with the Digital Deluxe edition costing $39.99. The game is also confirmed to include cross-platform play and cross-progression on launch.
