As part of our E3 coverage, we take a look at many of the new titles that are on display on the show floor. That means not just all the big name triple A games that garner a lot of attention, but we look at as some smaller indie titles as well. This week we will have the chance to get our hands on a number of such titles.
One game that we were invited to test out as part as our E3 show coverage was Neo Cab. It’s a narrative game that’s currently being developed by Chance Agency. It’s a story that takes place within the near future following the protagonist, Lina, whom is trying to find her way as one of the last human drivers on earth in a futuristic version of our world. Most of society’s transportation is handled by an automated driving service. Lina travels her way to the city of Los Ojos, California in order to reunite with her old friend Savvy.
Unfortunately, after shorty arriving to the city, your dear friend mysteriously goes missing. Now, in order to make a living and to eventually find out what happened to her friend, Lina must continue to pick up passengers while balancing between earning cash, keeping her driver rating up, as well as her emotional stability and mental health at a constant level.
Players can pick and choose who they want to pick up in order to learn their stories and they will run into some very interesting characters along the way. The game has a very stylish, colorful and futuristic look to it and the music compliments the game’s look and tone. It currently doesn’t have an exact release date but the game is slated to come out sometime this year on PC and Nintendo Switch.
