Halo Collections is great for those who haven’t played the previous Halo games or want to get into the series the missed a game or are nostalgic. This patch is for those of us though that are all about competitive fast paced online game play. The online scene has been quite fun so far however like most competitive games you need lots of rules to make things go smoothly and punish those who run out and unbalance your team according to gamespot.
Get ready for less frustration for those of you who have betrayals, trolls, people who prioritize eating and real life over the game and leave. You now have some implemented features to fix these problems. First a randomized win, as bizarre as it sounds, that is how ties will be taken care of. Next after the vote has ended any quitting at all will hurt your reputation, not just in Halo but for your entire Xbox profile. Leaving it so you are less likely to get on teams at a later time. There will also be some in game fixes.
This update came with several fixes right now like lowering the music when people join and fixing when the music would be randomly stopping at some points of game play. They claim to have improved “ranking calculations” says gamespot as well as hidden a lot of things like player tags, clan tags and more. UI launch and controller schematics have been improved as well. So overall there is a good amount of updates to make the game a more competitive styled match.
There is a downside to these new and improved features. They can be unforgiving at times. Not only this your in game ranking will be lowered not just in competitive play but in any game mode. So do be cautious and try to make sure you have the proper time to play a game.
According to gamespot, compatibility and stability have been greatly improved as well. So you can now enjoy less glitches and more fun game play for those of you practicing for the release of Halo 5 Guardians and want in on a piece of that million dollar prize pool.
