Halo 5‘s Anvil’s Legacy expansion was released earlier this month and was expected to be the final content for the game. However, just a couple days the developers at 343 Industries stated that “there’s more brewing on the Halo 5 front. We are not done just yet”(via GameSpot). So from this statement, we can expect that there will be more content added in at a later time. This is surprising news as the most recent expansion was expected to be the final content added in for the game. Perhaps along with working on some new content, they will also be working on fixing some issues with the game such as saved loadouts, a more intuitive menu, or more customizable setting within multiplayer.
Anvil’s Legacy has been out since September 8th, which is the same day that the forge tools were released for Microsoft Windows 10 PC’s. Within the expansion there were some added maps, weapons, a file browser, and more. This was the 9th free expansion released for Halo 5 and was thought to be the last. But then the developers stated that there are “various teams here at the studio are hard at work finishing up a few different flavors of goodness, and we’ll be talking about all of that and more in the near future. I am particularly excited about that part.” So if multiple teams are working on some new content could there be more than one expansion coming out?
If more expansions are on there way it’ll be cool to see how much more 343 Industries can add to the game. Halo 5 is available for Xbox One and PC for $40.
