The League of Legends esports world saw, to many, a painful change occur on the first day of Stove League (off-season). Gumayusi (Min-Hyung Lee) has parted ways with T1. The stellar Attack Damage Carry’s (ADC) departure from T1 was announced today on X, formerly Twitter, on the official T1 account in post starting with, “Thank you, Gumayusi.” The post begins with a message in Korean and follows with an English translation: “‘Gumayusi’ has concluded his time with T1 as he moves forward to take on a new challenge.” The full post can be found embedded below.

In a reply to the post, they included a link to a video on the official T1 YouTube account titled “THANK YOU, LEE ‘GUMAYUSI’ MIN-HYUNG.” The video opens with a greeting from Gumayusi sitting in front of the jerseys he wore during his seven years with T1, reaching back into the organization’s time as SKT T1. “Now, I’ll be leaving T1 and starting a new chapter, another journey to prove myself,” Gumayusi says. The video covers highlights from his time with T1, ending with him saying, “This news might be disappointing, but I’ll still be Gumayusi. So I hope you’ll keep rooting for me, all the way to the end.”

T1 is coming off of their historic three-peat victory at League Worlds 2025 where Gumayusi was Finals MVP and set record for the most different champions played by an ADC in Worlds, beating himself by one for a total of 12 different champions played in Worlds 2025. To call Gumayusi’s performance in the Worlds 2025 Finals would be an understatement. His performance as Miss Fortune in Game Five against KT Rolster helped drive several team fights in T1’s favor.

Gumayusi’s year began shaky when he was benched, with T1 Academy’s Smash (Geum-Jae Shin) taking his place during the 2025 LCK Spring Split. The benching was a surprise for fans and a decision that was only reversed through the intervention of CEO Joe Marsh. After seven years with T1, dating back to his days with SK Telecom T1 as a trainee, his 2020 debut with T1 in the 2020 LCK Regional Finals, to his part in the core members of T1 that achieved the three-peat, Gumayusi’s contribution to T1’s legacy cannot be understated. Wherever Gumayusi goes, he will undoubtedly continue to be a stellar ADC and bring strength to the roster.

Other notable roster updates that occurred today include T1 renewing their contract with Top Laner Doran for another year and NS RedForce announcing they have parted ways with their entire roster
