Over the Thanksgiving weekend, a former Rockstar character animator posted a demo reel on Vimeo showcasing some of his work on past Rockstar Games titles, including Red Dead Redemption 2, Max Payne 3, and Grand Theft Auto VI. Needless to say, the footage, which has since been taken offline, sent the internet into frenzy.

The footage contains three snippets of development footage. The first clip shows a male character removing and putting back a rental bike from the stand. suggesting players will be able to rent bikes in the game. Reddit users noted that rental bike stands can be seen during the game’s latest trailer. The bike in the clip says ‘LomBike’ on the frame. The in-game bikes seem to be funded by the in-game banking company Lombank which can be seen in both GTA 4 and GTA 5.

The second clip shows animation of a female character getting off a pickup truck. In the first animation, the character is sitting in the back of the truck and swings around to jump off of it. The second clip, the character is standing on the roof before she jumps onto the back, then onto the road.

This comes following the fake, AI-generated “gameplay leaks” that went viral on social media recently. The creator, an X user named Zap Actu GTA6, has since admitted to trolling everyone as part of a social experiment.

Following the recent leaks and the game’s delay, fans have been frustrated and are getting angry. There were mixed reactions to the leak, with some voicing concerns that another delay or “retaliation” of sorts could be coming. On Reddit, OK-Instruction830 jokes, “Rockstar is going to delay the game 1 month for every leak that’s released.”

Others are disappointed with the leak. AceChipEater said, “It’s not particularly impressive and it’s within the design engine.”

Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026.
