Grand Theft Auto V is Free Today Only For Amazon Prime Members After Rebate

If anyone out there hasn’t played one of the greatest open world action adventure games of all time, then this is easily your best chance to get it for absolutely nothing. Today only, Grand Theft Auto V is available for members of Amazon Prime, for zero dollars. There are, of course, a couple of prerequisites to obtaining this game for free.

For starters, you need to be a member of Amazon Prime, which is the website’s premier club for people who utilize Amazon’s services year round. After that, you must link your Prime membership with your Twitch.com account so that it becomes Twitch Prime account. Once those two things are all set up, just go to the listing page on Amazon and add the game to your cart.

You’ll notice that the game costs $14.99 to buy, and here’s where the main caveat takes place. Once you make the purchase, either for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, keep an eye on your account, as in one week’s time, Amazon will credit the $14.99 back to you, making the game free. In addition, the $14.99 you get back expires on January 31, 2019, so be sure to use it before then. It’s also important to note that this promotion only applies if the game is sold and shipped by Amazon directly, as third party sellers are exempt from this.

This might seem like a lot of steps just to get the game for free, but it’s worth it. Ever since Grand Theft Auto V launched in 2013, the game has rarely had its price dropped, and when it was, it was given a 10% discount from the standard MSRP which was $59.99 at the time. Over the years, the game’s retail life has gone down in value, especially with Rockstar’s newer game that just launched, Red Dead Redemption 2. Despite this, Grand Theft Auto V is still played regularly thanks to its never ending online mode.

This insane deal ends today, so if you have any interest in it, jump on it now before its too late. You can read the full Terms and Conditions of the promotion here.
