Rockstar Games has provided new details regarding the next big updates for GTA Online and Red Dead Online. GTA Online is celebrating car culture while Red Dead Online will see new opportunities for vigilantes of all kinds. Rockstar Games also announced the release date for Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be available later this year for those systems on November 11, 2021.
The summer updates coming to GTA Online will include special benefits for players to take advantage of in these expanded and enhanced versions. The standalone version of GTA Online will be available on both platforms, but this new standalone version of the game will be available for free exclusively to PlayStation 5 players during the first three months. PlayStation Plus members still have the opportunity to claim the GTA$1,000,000 by visiting the PlayStation Store every month until November 11, when the game releases on PlayStation 5.
To celebrate car culture in Los Santos, new opportunities for fans of performance and customization upgrades are coming in the form of a new underground car meet area. Plus, there will be new additions to the local racing scene. There is also a new demand for stolen cars. As crews hit the streets to get hold of the latest vehicles on the hotlist, players can challenge each other in new race types, or take part in a series of multi-part robbery missions.
Eight new Stunt Races will be coming to the GTA Online Stunt Series on May 27. They will introduce a array of white-knuckle thrills for stunt racers in an assortment of vehicle classes. The Deadline and Survival game modes are also getting expanded. Deadline will get seven new arenas. Survival mode is expanding to new locations throughout Los Santos and Blaine County.
Next week sees eight new Races coming to Red Dead Online. These will locations across the five states from the arid frontier outpost of Gaptooth Breach to the mining town of Annesburg and the swamps of Lagras. There are new Standard races and new Open races where it is up to you to determine the best path through all the signal fires on a given course. The new races will be available to all Red Dead Online players on May 25. Also coming in Red Dead Online’s summer update is a diverse array of new missions across the world for those looking to step into the criminal underground.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III, more fun surprises will be coming, including some specifically for GTA Online players.
