Recently, Rockstar Games revealed the biggest heist update yet coming to Grand Theft Auto Online. The Cayo Perico Heist introduces a new area to the game in the form of an entire island that players will have the chance to explore in a variety of different ways. As the update gets closer to release, Rockstar has been revealing more details about what’s coming. One of the new things that has been revealed is The Music Locker, Los Santos’ newest underground dance club that will feature real-life DJs performing sets within the game. Now Rockstar has announced three new radio stations and brand new mixes to songs for a total of 250 new tracks which makes The Cayo Perico Heist the biggest musical update to the game.
The three new music stations coming to the game are K.U.L.T. 99.1 Vespucci Beach, “Low Power Beach Radio”, Still Slipping Los Santos, and The Music Locker which gets its own radio station bringing in the sets and sounds from the club.
“Low Power Beach Radio” will be curated and hosted by Julian Casablancas (The Strokes / The Voidz). The station will include music from Joy Division to Danzig to The Velvet Underground as well as include the world premiere of “Alien Crime Lord”, a new track from The Voidz. Special appearances will be made by Mac DeMarco, David Cross, and Tony Mac.
Still Slipping Los Santos will be hosted by UK DJ Joy Orbison who will be bringing a mix of house, techno, drill, and drum-and-bass to the masses. The Music Locker will feature mixes from Keinemusik, Palms Trax and Moodymann.
In addition to the three new music stations, two other stations, Flylo FM and Worldwide FM, will get new tracks added to their playlists.
Flying Lotus will bring in an all-new track added to the rotation featuring guest appearances from Tierra Whack. New tracks will also come from Madlib and MF DOOM. There will also be a bunch of rare, exclusive, and amazing surprises.
DJ Giles Peterson adds a new, unreleased song by BadBadNotGood in collaboration with MF DOOM and a new mix of New London Jazz, disco, and world music to Worldwide FM. Tracks will feature music from Kanasi Washington, Khruangbin and many, many more.
These all-new mixes and tracks will be featured on the stations only for a period after launch, with the classics mixed back in over time.
