At Comic Con Brussels, Grand Theft Auto 5 voice actors Steven Ogg, Ned Luke, and Shawn Fonteno made a joint appearance. The voice actors Trevor Phillips, Michael De Santa, and Franklin Clinton, respectively, confirmed their interest in voice acting in Grand Theft Auto 6.
A majority of Grand Theft Auto 5’s protagonists and side characters have voiced and acted in Grand Theft Auto Online throughout various updates. However, the trio that appeared at Comic Con hasn’t yet made a reappearance together in any Grand Theft Auto game or material since Grand Theft Auto 5. Both fans and the voice actors clearly seem to want the trio to return, yet Rockstar has dropped no hints or made any announcement that they would return.
Fans are unsurprisingly surprised by this decision because the three of them are among the, if not the most iconic, voice actors in Grand Theft Auto 5. Most people who’ve played through the franchise remember Trevor Phillips for killing Johnny Klebitz, the protagonist of the Grand Thef Auto 4’s DLC, The Lost and Damned. Notably, Grand Theft Auto 5 and its cast are famed for being much more violent, willing to do anything for their goals. The voice actors seem to jab at the legacy when they claim that, should they reappear in Grand Theft Auto 6, their reappearance should be named The Final Score.
The voice actors prompted fans to petition Rockstar during the development, and even after the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, to allow them to voice act as their original characters in a Q&A segment.
All three voice actors have incredibly successful careers outside of Grand Theft Auto. Ned Luke has appeared in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NYPD Blue, and The Bear. Steven Ogg has appeared in famous shows like The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul. Shawn Fonteno’s most notable appearances include The Wash and Grow House.
With the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 looming on May 26, 2026, fans remain eager to see the base game’s content and DLC content that will be present. Given Rockstar’s slow development, DLC for the game may not be released for a long period of time.
