Google Play Games are finally coming to PC via open-beta test today. Earlier this year Google announced that they’d be beta testing Google Play Games for the PC but those tests were only within select countries. In August the range was extended to Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Australia, now players within the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore will be able to choose from a select catalog of games to playtest. Joining the Open-beta is as simple as downloading the app off the play store, and because the spec requirements were lowered to widen their reach, players should have no problem trying it out.
“We’re thrilled to expand our platform to more markets for players to enjoy their favorite games on Google Play.” said Arjun Dayal, Director of Google Play Games.”As we move towards a full release, we will continue to add new features and evaluate developer and player feedback.”
Eventually, Google Play Games seeks to be able to offer access to their games “on as many devices as possible.” Beta participants have already been able to play Google Play Games on their phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs. Google Play Games is now in open beta in the US and seven other countries. The open beta offers a catalog of up to 85 Android for players to choose from including 1945 Air Force, Blade Idle, Cookie Run: Kingdom, and Evony: The King’s Return.
