God Of War Will Get Up To 60 FPS And Save Transfers On PlayStation 5

Sony Santa Monica has revealed how God of War will take advantage of the PlayStation 5. In a tweet, they revealed that the Favor Performance video option can get up to 60 fps. They also shared that saves will transfer over so you can pick up right where you left off. The developers said that save transfers will work with God of War III Remastered.

With the PlayStation 5 launch getting closer and closer each day, it seems that several PlayStation Studios games are gearing up for next-gen. Recently, a new update for The Last of Us Remastered significantly reduced load times for the game. There was also an update for Final Fantasy VII Remake that was released.

Earlier this month, PlayStation revealed how backwards compatibility will work with PlayStation 4 games and confirmed that 99% of the PS4 library will be playable on PlayStation 5. Certain titles will see increased load times and will leverage Game Boost, which offers improved or more stable frame rates, as well as unlocked frame rates or dynamic resolution up to 4k may see higher fidelity.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is also another game that will get an upgrade on PlayStation 5, although much more substantial than other titles. PlayStation and Insomniac Games announced Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered which will have new assets, technology, and updates including a new face for Peter Parker. The remastered version of Marvel’s Spider-Man is available as part of the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles  Morales Ultimate Edition. You can play the original version of the game on PlayStation 5 as well but it will not include the new assets, technology, and updates from the remaster.

The Last of Us Remastered and God of War are part of the new PlayStation Plus Collection coming to PlayStation 5. PlayStation Plus members can play from a list of curated PlayStation 4 games that will be available to play for PlayStation 5.
