God of War Ragnarok Leaks Ahead of November Release, Studio Asks Fans to Avoid Spoilers

We’re only a little more than week away from the highly anticipated launch of God of War Ragnarok. The title is set to release next month on November 9, and up to this point Santa Monica Studios has been able to keep most of the game’s non-released details under wraps, until now. In the past 24 hours, several images, clips and details regarding the storyline of the game have been leaked by some users on the internet. Santa Monica Studios has released a statement on Twitter in response, asking fans to avoid spoilers as much as possible as we head into the home stretch of the date.

As you can see in the tweet above, Santa Monica Studio is doing everything they can to mitigate the issue as much as possible. Unfortunately, once these details are out in the wild, it’s extremely difficult to stop people from reposting them in various places. Social media is the most prevalent of these, making anyone who isn’t careful see or glance upon a spoiler related piece from the game before they get the chance to play it. Santa Monica Studio Creative Director Cory Barlog also chimed on on the situation, stating that this was also most likely due to certain retailers getting the game early and breaking the street date by putting them onto their shelves for sale.

For the sake of keeping everything about the game spoiler free, we will not link any of the aforementioned leaks in this story. Just be aware that they are on the internet and to be careful when scrolling/searching about the game on various sites. With a little more than a week to go, it won’t be too long until God of War Ragnarok is in our hands. From what Santa Monica Studio has shown us thus far, the wait will be worth it.

God of War Ragnarok will officially launch on November 9 for the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4.
