It’s Gamescom 2026 season and the gifts keep on coming, with showcases after showcases. Glasshouse, an upcoming Investigative game, used this Gamescom 2026 period to drop their awaited Gameplay Trailer for the Awesome Indies Showcase 2026. Developed and published by FLAT28, the game’s Steam description notes that it’s “Feudalpunk CRPG, with Turn-based combat, set in a lockdown apartment block at the dawn of a world war.” It continues stating that the game follows “Wealdmaer” who has to “Investigate the mysterious triple murder next door, fight the Political Conspiracy, and make terrible choices before the flatmates do it for you!”
The Trailer features Wealdmear waking up from the floor and finding what’s probably the three murders on the bed, and a wrecked room. The trailer asks the player, “what would you do?” And brings up alternate story choices for Wealdmear, each with different levels of success. The first is to “Call the vassals” but Wealdmear ends up sitting in a jail cell due to the high stakes environment. The only “good” option is to “Solve the mystery” with “flatmates” but the game hints through some story dialogue choices and the narrators question that they’re possible suspects to investigate. There’s the option to “run away” which is practically impossible due to “The fiefdom of London stock is in lockdown.” To show that, Wealdmear ends up at gunpoint fighting someone in the fief. To emphasise, the trailer repeats a variation of the original question “what would you do?”
Wealdmear runs around the apartment corridors and cellars, he speaks to one character, investigates another and gets beaten up by a third. The trailer teases smaller mini games to do actions like use a “lockpick” and Wealdmear having a drink with a few people. He ends up facing off against two people, with dice seemingly determining the “Attack” damage. The trailer shows different rooms and people in the apartment, one of them takes a gun to his head, another person jumps onto an outside ledge as Wealdmear pulls himself up to avoid falling. The trailer teases more fight scenes, with options to “de-escalate” through “Talk.” Wealdmear falls down the stairs, pushes boxes, listens to music and more as the trailer ends with a person in an eyepatch, and a bloody outfit holding a suspicious looking sack, looking up. The trailer notes that those interested in the Glasshouse can play the demo coming in October.
