Star Wars Battlefront II is getting a massive update tomorrow according to a post on the Battlefront II website. The update includes a new Capital Supremacy map, new Leia Organa appearance, as well as a bunch of balance changes and bug fixes. When the new game mode, Capital Supremacy, launched at the end of last month, fans were both delighted and dejected. On the one hand, Capital Supremacy echoed a long-lost (but not forgotten) game mode from the original Battlefront games: Conquest, or Capture the Command Post as it is more affectionately known. However, the new game mode launched with only one map, Pipeline Junction West on Geonosis, which could quickly get stale.

Even though Capital Supremacy is still less than a month old, fans will be delighted at the release of the new map: Kachirho Beach on Kashyyyk. While the map is already in rotation in the Galactic Assault mode, changes have been made to better suit it for Capital Supremacy, though the post did not divulge any details as to what they may be. The new map will continue the fight of the Clone Army against the Separatist droids, this time as they attempt to overrun the Wookie planet.
In addition to the new map, Battlefront II will be adding a new appearance for Leia Organa, the classic Princess Leia look from A New Hope. In order to unlock the new look, players must take part in an in-game event. Again, not many details were revealed but will revolve around capturing command posts in Capital Supremacy in some way.
Balance updates for multiple heroes will also make their debut in the new update. Affected heroes include Yoda, Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker, and more. The biggest changes are the addition of blocking to Yoda and Darth Maul, and a sizable nerf to Anakin. Anakin will see a reduction of his Pull Dominance range, Retribution range, and deflect stamina. A full list of all the changes and patch notes can be found in the post, and there are a lot, including suggestions made by the community; it’s always a nice change of pace when developers listen to the fans.
The update launches tomorrow, April 24. May the Force be with you.
