Ghostrunner just announced that the release date of the Project_Hel DLC has been set to January 27, 2022. The developers teased it as the “Ultimate DLC” that will probably be the biggest Ghostrunner update ever. In this DLC, you will be able to play as Hel, one of the original game’s bosses, as she descends Dharma Tower on a bloody quest of her own. The developers of Ghostrunner describe Hel as “Designed to appeal to new players and veterans, she’s more combat-oriented and can survive an additional attack compared to the Ghostrunner.” There will be new enemies and bosses you can battle to the beat of six fresh tracks made by electronic musician Daniel Deluxe.

If you already can’t wait for the release of Project_Hel, you can sign up for the private beta launching later this year. People who are selected to participate will be included in Project_Hel’s credits. There is also a new festive sword and glove bundle to enhance Jack’s look in the original game to commemorate the upcoming holidays.
“You’re in a dream. A child approaches you and asks you for direction. While the child is talking, you notice a snake in the grass about to strike at them. What do you say?” It’s hard to speculate what the narrator is referring to in this DLC trailer with only these vague lines. However, we might be able to deduce that this could be a hint of Hel’s own storyline, as we can see in the trailer that you will be wielding Hel’s sword and Hel wakes up in her capsule at the end of the video. We can expect to get a better understanding of Hel’s background story and character in Project_Hel.
