The third update in Year 2 for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is here today with more to offer than just new story content. Since its original release in March 2017, Ubisoft Paris, Ubisoft Reflections, and Ubisoft Annecy have been regularly updating Wildlands with new weapons, missions, and characters in order to keep the game going. Check out the update trailer below:
The Special Operations 3 update introduces players to Ghost Leader Scott Mitchell and the rookie John Kozak. Join these two in the free mission named “Silent Spade” where the Cartel plots something that threatens people on a worldwide scale. Discover what their nuclear capabilities are and stop their plan in order to unlock a backpack that’s designed to increase stealth abilities. Another mode that has been added by fan request is Photo Mode so players can capture their favorite moments in game.
Some additions are coming for player versus player gameplay too. Player versus player Events are modifiers that can be voted on by those who will be participating and these will affect all Quickplay matches during the Event. Each Event will last for approximately 60 hours. Ubisoft is adding two new maps to the lineup, which are titled “Lithium Mine” and “Outskirts.” The first map resembles a desert coast mine that has been abandoned while “Outskirts” area is located in a hazy, lightly forested area with a couple of worn down buildings. Finally, there will be two new Classes for players to choose from. The Vanguard looks like a heavy duty soldier that can use Sensor Grenades to find hidden enemies and highlight them for his team. Next, the Sharpshooter is a stealthy sniper who can charge up his shots to full which can negate sway effects and any bullet drop.
Wildlands will also adjust the Prestige Economy. All Battle Crates will have a chance to drop in Prestige Crates and the odds to receive Legendary and Epic items have increased. Compensation for receiving duplicate items has been increased too. Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ Special Operations 3 update is out today for the Xbox One, PlayStation4, and PC.
