On Sunday, Ubisoft had their first virtual event called Ubisoft Forward where they released so many newly developed games to dedicated gamers and shared what was yet to come for the video game world. Before the livestream event, Ubisoft made an announcement on the release of their latest patch on Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Title Update 2.1.0. In this update, the developers have made a number of changes to the third-person shooter’s guns and more.
With the Title Update coming, the developers will be introducing a menu option enabling players to play with a full team of AI Ghost at their side to follow the main player’s orders, execute sync shots, and potentially revive player when things get hairy. Also, AI teammates can be fully customized, both in terms of physical attributes and gear as well as their weapons which will affect how they tackle enemy forces. Examples of commands you can give your teammates include “regroup” where teammates come back to the players, “go-to” where teammates go to a designated position, “cleared hot” where teammates engage with an enemy or seeking cover nearby, and finally “hold position” where teammates got to the closest cover and stick to their positions.
When talking about the weapon and attachments objective board update on the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Website. The developers said that “In order to make the objective board menu more valuable and engaging to players, information about weapons and attachments is no longer hidden by default. Even if you have not discovered any intel about a weapon/attachment, it will now show up on the board as a grey tile with the name and silhouette to indicate the weapon family it belongs to. Once you have found intel on the weapon/attachment, it will now have a tag to easily indicate where it can be acquired. These tags include: PvP, Maria’s Shop, Missions, Raid, Ubisoft Club, and Classes Ranks 10.”
Also to improve the customization in the Gunsmith, the developers added the ability for players to select a firing mode by choosing two kinds of triggers which are single fire or burst. For whichever mode player chooses it will only impact the shots fired and not on the impact of damage done.
Another major thing they added to the game was alert messages. For this update player’s messages were adapted to be displayed with a discrete visual. With the immersive mode, it does not show alert messages except for warning and immediate action.
With everything coming to the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint update, fans will enjoy the new and improved game and will get to see how well of a teammate they will be towards their AI team. They will be also having a Ghost Recon: Breakpoint’s Resistance live event on July 16th which fans should definitely check out. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint patch notes Title Update 2.1.0 coming out July 15th on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
