More exciting news has arrived for fans of the popular game Ghost of Tsushima. As of June 29th, 2021, the Entertainment Software Rating Board, or ESRB, released a game rating for a new Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, leaking the game to the public and bringing even more news about upcoming plans for the series.
Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world action-adventure game where players take on the role of Jin Sakai, a samurai and the sole survivor of the Sakai tribe in 13th century Japan. Fans expect the new Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut to follow a premise similar or identical to the original game. Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is rated M (17+) by ESRB, a rating it shares with the original version of the game.
However, there is even more news to come from this game leak. On ESRB’s rating, the available platforms listed for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut are the PS4 and PS5, leading fans to believe that the game will be receiving a PS5 release. This comes as exciting news to fans of the original game, which is currently only available on the PS4. Players can now enjoy better gameplay quality with the game officially available for the PS5. No more need for backward compatibility!
The ESRB listing for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut also revealed some more mysterious information as well. The game is listed as having ‘Users Interact’ for both the PS4 and PS5, which leads fans to believe that the Legends multiplayer mode of the game will be available as part of the Director’s Cut. Similarly, the game is marked as having ‘In-Game Purchases’ for the PS4 version. Whether this is a mistake on ESRB’s part or a new gameplay mechanic included in the Director’s Cut, fans have yet to see.
Expectations are high for the Ghost of Tsushima series, and with exciting news flooding in on the regular, expectations will hopefully be met. Ghost of Tsushima is currently available for purchase or for download on the PS4.
