Zoink Games, the developing minds behind Fe, Stick it to the Man and Flipping Death, came forth pitching a new game called Ghost Giant. With this game they got Sara Bergmark Elfgren, a young adult novel author, to create a collaboration for the heartfelt story. Ghost Giant is considered a sandbox style puzzle adventure where the player takes on the role of, well, a ghost giant. There, in all your non-corporeal sort of existence, you must help a small anthropomorphic cat character, Louis. Louis is what ties the story together, where the player attempts to befriend him while he’s in a moment of sadness.
There, Louis leads this friendly ghost giant to his town of Sancourt, where players must solve “point and grab” type puzzles to complete everyday tasks. This includes the ability to rotate entire buildings to witness the stories that are happening inside of them. But most of the puzzles surround the relationship with Louis, where players help him with his tree house, create a secret handshake, and help him disguise himself as an adult to steal his moms car. Each puzzle will range in how it’s shown and have a variety of difficulties.
With a level of silliness, the game shows its charm through its characters and unique character designs. Though with the heartfelt relationship with Louis, there may be some tears involved.
Ghost Giant will be available for PSVR only on April 16 for digital copies and April 19 for physical copies.
