Genshin Impact developer, HoYoverse could be working on a new project, after the successful release of their latest project Honkai: Star Rail 2 months ago, which broke Genshin Impact’s record of being the most downloaded title in a day. This leak was shared by a user on Twitter, UBatcha who gave some details on what the game would be about. UBatcha explains, “…hoyoverse are working on a casual simulation style game” He clarifies what a “casual simulation style game” is after one user comments about it, UBatcha says, “sims/animal crossing/stardew valley – all examples of casual simulation games.” These game titles can all be used for by HoYoverse for inspiration, in which UBatcha agrees, but this isn’t the first leak like this to surface.
Coming from the Dexterto article, this leak of a HoYoverse casual sim is not the first. On June 21st, a Twitch Streamer named SipSipStefen posted this tweet. Dexterto says in their article, “Twitter post has since been subject to a copyright strike, meaning the image is no longer visible. But the streamer’s caption suggests the image teased a “direct Animal Crossing competitor.” This caption reads,
– HOYOVERSE NEWS –Our first look at the up and coming life simulation game from Hoyoverse that I will be referring to as “Hoyoworld” until we get an actual confirmed title.Seems to be a direct Animal Crossing competitor pic.twitter.com/7aHzPmunSf
Another user, KdeKovek, mentioned the reports that HoYoverse was working on a “shooter” type game, in which UBatcha reply’s saying that the title was canceled, while another user replied saying that the game wasn’t officially announced and was axed, according to a BilliBilli post late last year.
As far as an initial reveal of such a casual sim, there is no further release date or details since this is only a leak, and with any leak, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
