Generation 5 is Finally Coming to Pokémon Go

Back in June, during the third anniversary of Pokémon Go, it was hinted at in the poster art that Generation 5 was just around the corner, but recently the newest update on the Pokémon Go blog has just confirmed that Unova is officially coming to the mobile game. The blog spells out all the latest bonuses that will be added to the game for the next three weeks.

The first bonus will include a bonus of double incubator effectiveness, which comes with the possibility of hatching Unknowns U, L, T, R, and A from 10km Eggs. Another feature of the first week is that the legendary dogs Suicune, Raikou, and Entei will be available in Raid Battles. The last bonus of the first week is that players will have the chance to capture the shiny forms of the Pokémon Sentret and Gligar. This Ultra bonus will be available from September 2nd through September 9th.

The second week will feature the possibility of hatching the Pokémon Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Tauros as well as another bonus of double incubator effectiveness. These particular bonuses will last from the 9th, to the 23rd of September, that means players will have the chance to hatch the above listed Pokémon for two weeks. Another bonus available for the second week is the chance to battle all forms of Deoxys outside of EX Raids. This bonus will be available from the 9th of September to the 16th of September.

The final bonus will bring the Unova Region to the stage. From September 16th to the 23rd, players will have the chance to encounter Klink in raids. Players will also have the chance fight a Mewtwo that knows the move Psystrike. Two more bonuses that will be available during this week are the chance to encounter shiny Patrat and Lillipup, as well as a special give-away in which players will be given the wish granter Jirachi, and for players who have already caught Jirachi, the chance to obtain Jirachi candies.

These events will be available weekly from September 2nd through the 9th, the 9th through the 16th, and the 16th through the 23rd. Each event will allow players to acquire or battle some of their favorite Pokémon and if players are diligent enough, they may be able to acquire shiny versions of some of the above listed Pokémon. These Ultra Bonuses will make players want to catch ’em all, and prove that they are the very best.
