Microsoft held their annual Xbox Games Showcase today as a part of Summer Game Fest, with the keynote streaming to audiences worldwide, as well as a viewing event at the David Geffen Theater in Los Angeles. Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, Blizzard, and Activision all made numerous announcements at the showcase, and you can find a recap of everything revealed during the show here:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 kicked off the show with a new campaign trailer and a release date scheduled for October 25, 2024. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer informed fans that Black Ops 6 will be available on all major consoles with no timed exclusivity, and that the game will be available on the Xbox Games Pass on launch day.
- Bethesda announced Doom: The Dark Ages, a prequel to the iconic Doom franchise, with a new gameplay trailer. The game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam, and PlayStation 5 in 2025.
- A new trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was revealed, along with the news that it will arrive on Xbox Games Pass on day one of its launch later this year.
- State of Decay 3, the third installment in the series by the team at Undead Labs, was announced with a new cinematic trailer, depicting a dramatic encounter with a horde of zombies.
- Bioware presented a reveal trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, featuring cinematics and character intros for the upcoming fantasy game.
- Starfield revealed its new expansion, Shattered Space, with a new trailer and news that it would be coming later this year. Also revealed by Bethesda was a new June update for Starfield coming out tonight, featuring new content for players.
- A new trailer for fantasy RPG Fable was revealed.
- Life is Strange: Double Exposure was announced for release on October 29, with pre-orders unlocking the first two chapters early on October 15.
- Diablo IV announced its first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, with a new cinematic trailer and a release date of October 8.
- The new World of Warcraft expansion, The War Within, was announced to launch on August 26.
- Rare showed off a trailer for the next season of the hit pirate game Sea of Thieves, which arrives Jul 25.
- Fallout 76 revealed a new update called Skyline Valley that’s releasing on June 12, as well as teasing the ability for players to play as ghouls in early 2025.
- A variety of new games held world premieres at the event, including:

- Fragpunk

- New gameplay trailers for several already announced games were also shown, featuring:
