The Coalition has already sent out a server side update for Gears of War 4 in order to provide players a more reliable way to acquire credits, which are needed to upgrade characters and equipment.
In a blog post yesterday, The Coalition announced that they made some changes to how players accumulated credits. They stated that the goal for the new update was to give players more consistent rewards per game, as well as, “bring the time required to earn Gear Packs – including the customization focused Elite Pack – closer to our expectations.”
The first main change to the credit system is that the Elite Pack Credit cost will be reduced, now only costing 3500 instead of 4000. The second being that players will see increased credit gain at the end of each multiplayer match.
This should provide a higher and more consistent Credit earn rate across our modes, with the levelling milestone drops of 500 Credits and Credit bounties also helping you on your road to your next pack.
They also said that,
There is now a known bug that may display you earned 0 Credits from your Match Bonus, If you see this, you still earned your Match Bonus credits and XP. You should see your true gain reflected in your Credit Wallet in the main menu. We are fixing this bug in a future title update.
Near the end of the blog they reassure players that they have a team working around the clock trying to fix some matchmaking issues. They expect to have another server side update “in the near future”.
