Starting tomorrow players who haven’t had the chance to play Gears of War 4 will be able to try the game out thanks to a free trial starting today. Beginning on June 9th and ending on June 15 players from both Xbox One and PC will both have access to the game via a limited free trial version. The trial can only be downloaded by June 15 but will also let the players who do have it play it well well after that period as long as they still keep the download of course. The trial allows players to experience up to 10 hours of gameplay. It gives them a taste of the single player story mode and even lets them dabble with the versus as well as the Horde modes.
The trial also has the new content that The Coalition released earlier in the week in a huge update for Gears of War 4. The expansion added 15 Horde skills, two fan-favorite maps from previous installments, new Loot drops, made many changes to the Horde mode, and added all new difficulty levels. Pre existing skills can also now be raised to level 6 thanks to the update. The trial was made to give new players a feel of what the whole game currently looks and feels like. The Coalition also stated on their website that they will be giving their new players rewards “For our new players, we’ll be offering special bonuses to earn as you level up including guaranteed characters, weapon skins and new Horde Skills to try.”
