Developed by Whiteboard Games, Tempus Vitae is a singleplayer FPS game where players are a time-displaced astronaut that was separated from her brother and transported to a futuristic space station. Alex, the main protagonist, is caught between two time zones: 2185 and 2385.
In 2185, players find themselves caught in a war between rebel scientists and brutal Lawkeepers from Earth. Players will be able to explore the space station, named Theia, to find answers while collecting useful resources. However, players have to be cautious of their actions as it can affect the future.
In 2385, players find themselves in a post-apocalyptic dystopian time period. The station is devoid of human life, but now there are mad monsters lurking the facility. Each time zone comes with its own challenges, mysteries, and enemies to defeat.
Time travel happens because of a pistol Alex wields with time-traveling capabilities. It can send the players back into the past, enabling them to discover access to other areas of the space station. They will be able to stop time, freezing their enemies bullets and manuevering around them to retaliate.
An official gameplay trailer for Tempus Vitae was released at Gamescom 2026, showcasing how time traveling can help players advance from one area of the station to the next. It also shows how the ability can be used in and out of combat, such as freezing time to navigate moving platforms.
The trailer also reveals that players will be able to shoot their weapon while time is frozen. This means they will be able to manipulate the battlefield to their advantage and prove themselves to be an unstoppable force.
Tempus Vitae can be wishlisted now and will be available for PC players via Steam and the Epic Game Store. The game will be available for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Whiteboard Games plan on releasing the game sometime in 2027, but no set date has been confirmed.
