As virtual reality’s presence is ever-expanding, many entertainer’s are becoming involved in the craze. According to Gamespot.com, the newest celebrity venture was announced by DJ, Deadmau5. He has collaborated with Absolut Labs, Absolut Vodka’s media team, to create a brand new VR experience.
“Absolut Deadmau5” is a way of showing an audience a day in the life of the ultra-famous DJ. According to the app’s website, players have the ability to “visit his studio, and then navigate him through a series of gameplay challenges, ending with you standing next to him in the booth as he plays his latest track.
Mashable’s video below features a glimpse at the mobile app. This APP contains exciting footage of Deadmau5 concerts and his life as a producer. It mixes in entertaining games that involve driving, rhythm and running as Deadmau5.
Existing as a mobile app allows Google Cardboard compatibility. The Deadmau5 and Absolut duo created a unique headset of Deadmau5’s legendary mouse helmet that also features his cat on the side. To protect innocent minds from alcohol advertising ads featured in the game, Absolut encourages only people of legal drinking age to purchase the headset.
With the app launching on July 27th, there is a huge demand for the corresponding headset. To be sure the headset will deliver by the release date, it should be preordered by July 8th.
