Game of Thrones: Dragonfire a collaboration between Warner Bros. Games and HBO dropped its long anticipated Announcement Trailer, today. The free Warner Bros. game will come to the App Store and Google Play Store later this year, according to Warner Bros. Games Announcement. HBO Games Support also informs fans that the Game will be available “globally in select territories in the Americas, Europe, Oceania, MENA and Asia.” It’s currently available for preregistration on the App Store, Google Play Store and gotdragonfire. 

The trailer highlights how this game is set “172 years before the birth of Daenerys” where “Targaryen dragons rule the skies.” Two dragons fly across a castle as the narrator echoes ominous words “Westeros stands at the edge of war..,” the castle turns into a chess piece upon a table as a  noble woman with two soldiers next to her stands above the piece. A man walks towards the table, when the noblewoman places down a three headed dragon piece, the man nods to the lady and heads off, while the noblewoman’s face becomes center stage. 

The trailer shifts showing a nest of dragon eggs, one cracking and another shaking, to three dragons flying in the sky, as the narrator states that “Their flames will carve The path to power.” The noblewoman moves the dragon chess piece forward and the dragon mimics her action, flying forward over an army of soldiers before it ascends, raining down fire. The trailer switches to an iron throne, with multiple swords on and around it as the narrator echoes “Only fire and blood will claim the Iron Throne.” A dragon appears and screams at a man, who raises his hand toward the dragon. The dragon closes its eyes and bows its head as the narrator reveals “The blood of the dragon now awakens in you.” The man gets onto the dragon and they fly away with two other dragons as the narrator concludes “Seize your destiny. Join the fray. Conquer or Burn.”

Warner Bros. Games expands a bit more about the game in their announcement, detailing that “players will experience a new narrative as a Valyrian descendant tasked with hatching, raising and flying dragons. Fans will encounter both familiar faces and original characters, form alliances and factions with other players, as well as engage in tactical battles to become a true dragonrider and dominant force in Westeros.”
