Canadian indie game developer and publisher Metanaut has announced that Gadgeteer will be making its way to PSVR on May 25. The game was previously only available for Oculus VR systems, but will soon be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game received very positive reviews and was praised for being extremely addictive and replayable. Leading up to this release Metanaut has improved and fine-tuned the game over the years, making it more accessible and expansive. Gadgeteer is a VR physics-based puzzle game where players make use of different objects and parts to create chain reaction machines.
In Gadgeteer, players have the choice of two different game modes, Puzzle Mode and Maker Mode. In Puzzle Mode players will work through sixty different levels that go from simple dominos to more complex contraptions. Players will be able to make use of a hundred different gadgets, allowing for multiple ways to solve each level. In Maker Mode, players are able to freely create their own Rube Goldberg-like machine and share them with other players online. This mode also provides forty additional gadgets to experiment and create with. Players are able to view and play the different contraptions and puzzles that are made by other members of the Gadgeteer community. This new port to the PSVR will give players the option of playing with the PlayStation Move controllers, or either a DualShock 4 or DualSense controller.
Gadgeteer will release on the PSVR on May 25. The game will be compatible with both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles and will be available for $14.99. The game is currently available for purchase on Steam for Oculus VR systems.
