G2 Esports, one of the titans of the competitive gaming scene, recently re-signed contracts for all of the rosters for their competitive Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends, and Rocket League teams. Announced via Twitter, the entire roster for all of the teams will be returning for a new contract term with G2. The new contracts have also already been signed by all three of the full rosters for G2, as they plan to play for the organization through 2022. According to a blog post on the G2 Esports website, this is a huge moment for the company and an attempt to set a benchmark for esports as a whole with set long-term rosters becoming more prominent for larger teams.
In the post the CEO of G2 Esports, Carlos ‘Ocelote’ Rodriguez talked a bit about the relationships the players have with the org, “We feel an incredible sense of pride each time partners, players, and fans decide to stick with us through the years… Renewing their agreements with us underlines how great of a relationship we have with them and it certainly gives us that same feeling of pride. We hope to continue to make our players, partners, and fans happy throughout the years. Keep sticking with us, as we’ll keep delivering. Much love.”
