There is a free, new update released for Killing Floor 2 on PC and PS4. Developer Tripwire Interactive introduced many new features of the Tropical Bash Content Pack, starting with its weapon: the Bone Crusher. The Bone Crusher is a tier 4 Berserker weapon that consists of a mace and a spiked shield. Made of the base of a baseball bat and built from a hubcap for the mace and shield, respectively, it can be used to assault enemies or parry attacks to avoid taking damage.
While the Bone Crusher is class specific, there are some tweaks that will allow players to use weapons outside of their class with their full benefits. For instance, support players can now receive benefits from using the Medic’s shotgun; previously they could not receive the benefits.
There is also a new Zed that you will have to face: the Gorefiend. The official description of the Gorefiend reads that “a whirling blur of blood and steel, the gorefiend in an improved version of the gorefast, adding a second arm blade and even more inquenchable blood-lust. The spinning attacks of the gorefiend can quickly render the toughest survivor to mincemeat. Like the gorefast, the gorefiend is most vulnerable to shotguns and rifles, and best countered by Supports.” The remainder of its stats can be seen below.
You will be able to experience all of these new aspects with the new map that comes with the update, the Zed Landing. The map features a crashed cargo plane and a nearby volcano that occasionally erupts, sending a stream of lava that can make the map difficult. Shots of the crashed cargo plane and erupting volcano can be seen below.
Along with the weapon, the enemy and the map, there are now new emotes, new achievements for PC, balance tweaks to various weapons, a faster path to level 10, map changes and bug fixes. The full list of changes can be read here.
