Free-to-play action RPG Path of Exile is out of beta and available for download on Steam or the official website. The launch includes a host of new content, including new levels, a new class, and guilds.
Path of Exile is a game that takes after Diablo II in much of its design, with a complex economy and loot system, a dark aesthetic, and a unique way of handling character progression that takes inspiration from Final Fantasy X‘s Sphere Grid. It now features seven classes, the newest addition being the Scion that evenly balances physical power, agility, and magic.
Patch 1.0, detailed on the Path of Exile forum, also brings guilds to the game so players can better organize themselves, and a new challenge league that players can join to prove their skills. It also adds new abilities, new unique items, six new areas to explore, new monsters, and an obligatory achievement system.
If you’re in the mood to kill monsters, loot their bodies, gain levels, and then repeat that whole process over again, now is a great time to check out Path of Exile.
