More like No Man’s Sigh, am I right?
Now we know that the last minute delay the PC version of No Man’s Sky suffered wasn’t for nothing. The game currently has mixed reviews on Steam with players citing host of different issues. According to Game Informer, players have reported that the game suffers from frame rate drops on high-end GPUs like the Nvidia GT 980, crashes minutes into play and the game flat out not opening. Some players also say No Man’s Sky has audio problems and general optimization issues.
Game Informer was able to confirm the GPU issues with a system running with a i7-6700, GTX 980Ti, and 16GB RAM.
Hello Games is already hard at work fixing the issues with Sean Murray himself taking to twitter to update people and offer some suggestions. Among his suggestions, Murray says that players should install the latest drivers for the GFX card and to make sure it’s above the minimum requirement which is nVidia GTX 480 according to the Steam Page. Murray also commented on the massive number of players that started playing within fifteen minutes of the game’s launch.
On a lighter note, the PC version has a couple of nifty features that are sure to make those that play its PS4 counterpart jealous. Game Informer reports that players have the option to remap the controls which means no more awkwardly running with R3. They also have the option to change their Field-Of-View and remove the HUD completely.
No Man’s Sky is out now for PS4 and PC.
