FOX n FORESTS Has Arrived on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4

After a successful Kickstarter back in 2016, the hard-working developers over at Bonus Level Entertainment have working tirelessly to finish their action platformer, FOX n FORESTS. As of today, the two years of development are over, and players will be able to experience the journey of Rick the Fox and discover the mysteries behind the fifth season.

If FOX n FORESTS looks like it might be a nostalgia trip to play, it is because the developers took aspects of the greatest adventure games of our time and put them all into one game. The title has taken pages from classics such as Castlevania, Mega Man, and the Legend of Zelda series in order to make an adventure of epic proportions with modern game design knowledge. To add to the nostalgic feel, the graphics have been created to replicate the 16-bit era of gaming, and it also sports a fully composed chiptune soundtrack to give the game that extra bit of old school flair.

In FOX n FORESTS, players take control of the mischievous fox, Rick, who must embark on a quest to free his forest from a mysterious force. Wielding a magic crossbow, players will help Rick fend off hordes of unique monsters and enchanted animals. Rick will also be able to manipulate the season on each stage in order to overcome obstacles. For example, he could change the season to autumn to create falling leaf platforms that normally would not be there, or he could change the season to winter to freeze enemies and water over. Plenty of hidden secrets, puzzles, and bosses will challenge players along the way as players help Rick not only restore the seasons, but to also save his forest.

FOX n FORESTS is now available on Steam for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS, the Nintendo Switch, and the PlayStation 4 for $19.99. In addition, an Xbox One version will be available in the coming weeks.
