Fortnite to Offer New Subscription Service “Fortnite Crew”

The new season of Fortnite, Chapter 2: Season 5, launches on December 2 and Epic Games is introducing an exclusive way to experience the game. Players can subscribe to a monthly service that is $12 and become a part of the Fortnite Crew. Those who join the crew will have access to monthly crew packs, 1,000 V-bucks a month, access to the current season’s battle pass, and exclusive character customizations. Previously, Fortnite only Battle Bundles which allowed players to get an additional 25 tiers, XP bonuses, V-bucks, and a third skin. Battle Bundles will be replaced by a bundle of 25 levels for 1850 V-bucks.

So, what does the monthly crew packs usually include? They will have an exclusive new outfit every month with at least one accessory. The December Crew Pack will include the Galaxia skin style and the Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and fractured world back bling. The Fortnite Crew subscription can be purchased directly from the Item Shop or Battle Pass purchase screen. Players should also remember that through Fortnite can be played across platforms, V-bucks purchased on PlayStation or Nintendo Switch cannot be spent anywhere else though the content you buy with the V-bucks will be available across all devices. This monthly subscription is available to cancel at any time.

 

Fortnite will have their season finale live, December 1, before the launch of Fortnite Crew and the new season. The season finale will take place at 4 PM ET. Introducing this subscription may be more cost-effective for those who are regular players of the game and sink money into V-bucks. This might be the biggest season yet for Fortnite especially since they are finally including the highly-demanded Baby Yoda back bling.
